* HOT RODS East End Hot Rods has a classic car show from 5 to 10 p.m. May 12 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center with more than 200 dream machines on view in the Executive Plaza parking lot behind City Mill. Call 227-0988.

* RUGBY The USA Tomahawks play the Tonga Mate Ma’a for the American National Rugby League Ohana Cup at 7 p.m. May 12 at Kaiser Stadium. Admission is $3, and proceeds benefit Kaiser Athletics and Hawaii Youth Rugby. Go to amnrl.com.

* ST. LOUIS MEETS The St. Louis Heights Community Association meets at 7 p.m. May 14 at Hokulani Elementary. Call 737-5654.

* ST. LOUIS HIKE The Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads a 6-mile intermediate ridge hike to “Mt. Olympus” in St. Louis Heights at 8 a.m. May 19. Go to htmclub.org.

* BLOOD TALK Kaiser Permanente has a free Senior Summit lecture on “Blood Pressure and You” at 11:45 a.m. May 22 at Kaimuki-Waialae YMCA for all ages. Call 737-5544 to register.

* STARGAZERS Hawaiian Astronomical Society stages a Star Party from 6 to 10 p.m. May 22 at Kahala Community Park and telescopes are provided. The group also will be in the Kahala Barnes & Noble parking lot from 1 to 6 p.m. that day to observe the skies. Email peter@besenbruch.info.

* PARENT PROJECT Loving Solutions (Parent Project Jr.) comes to Aina Haina Elementary School library from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays, June 11-July 16, sharing techniques and strategies for positive child raising. Fee is $22. Email renee_ako@notes.k12.hi.us.
