Earth Day Cleanup And Party

An Earth Day beach cleanup and music festival are planned for April 20, with volunteers cleaning shorelines from 9:30 a.m. to noon from Pyramid Rock at the Marine base, and around to Makapuu, the Kaiwi coastline and Sandy Beach.

The cleanup will be followed by a party for participants from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Sea Life Park with live music, guest speakers, games and keiki activities – all for $5, which includes admission to the park and all of its shows.

Entertainers are Shawn Kaua’awaMokuahi Garnett, the Urchinz, HI Remedy and Summer.

The events are sponsored by Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, which aims “to make this the largest cleanup in Hawaii history.” No reservations are needed, but other nonprofits wishing to join the cause can email lindsey@sustainablecoastlineshawaii.org.
