“Ulupono” — that’s the theme around Castle Medical Center these days, and especially on July 30 when the hospital welcomed everyone to come see and celebrate the completion of its Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Patient Care Wing. The afternoon was packed with curious visitors and important stakeholders in Windward Oahu’s largest medical complex. Tours of the new tower showcased the 40 new patient rooms on one floor and 42 on the other. A Weinberg grant of $1.5 million went to that phase of the capital improvements. Now Castle can focus on renovating the main building. Meanwhile, the day was festive, the music great, and there were plenty of activities to keep all ages happy and, of course, healthy.
