Koolau Magic Theatre continues its quest to provide fun, live family entertainment on the Windward side with its popular series of monthly shows at its magic lair in Koolau Center next to Times Supermarket.

The January show begins at 7 p.m. Friday featuring guest artist James Lee performing his dove act along with regulars The Great Davidio (dentist David Brown) and Mr. O (Harvey Ouchi).

Lee, a University of Hawaii graduate originally from Taiwan, performs both closeup and stage magic, winning several awards over his two decades in the magic arts. A businessman as well as a magician, Lee owns Pioneer Jewelry Co. and a magic shop downtown.

Tickets cost $12 for adults, $8 for children ages 12 and under with a $2 discount if pre-purchased at Temple Valley Dental Clinic. Drinks and snacks also are available.
