Concert Series Goes Out With Burst Of Ballet

Eight dancers from the Onium Ballet Project will join Chamber Music Hawaii May 14 to celebrate the great tradition of French chamber music at Paliku Theatre.
The final concert of the CMH season, the performance starts at 7:30 p.m. with musicians from all three ensembles playing in the all-French program.
The dancers will join the ensembles in a staged version of Darius Milhaud’s La Creation du Monde (The Creation of the World). Dancers are Mayuko Ayabe, Joshua Cho, Celia Chun, Michele Painter, Maryann Peterson, Keri Stugard, Carolyn Wilt and Malia Yamamoto.
The musicians are J. Scott Janusch, Susan McGinn, James Moffitt, Marsha Schweitzer, Wade Butin, Mark Schubert, Kenneth Hafner, Claire Sakai Hazzard, Hung Wu, Mark Butin and Karen Bechtel. Guest performers include Norman Foster, Eric Mathis, John Gallagher, Steve Dinion and Riley Francis, along with pianist Thomas Yee and saxaphonist Todd Yukumoto.
