Will Espero has been elected chairman of the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization which coordinates federally funded transportation construction and improvement projects on the island. He has also been appointed to the Workforce development council, the State Highway Fund Task Force and the Broadband Task Force. The new highway task force will oversee the maintenance of the state’s highway funds which take up a large chunk of the state budget. The Broadband Task Force is charged with overseeing the development and regulation of broadband technologies and telecommunications in Hawaii.
