Gargantuan robotic insects (up to 600 times their actual size!) will descend on Pearlridge Center for “Giant Insect Safari,” a free hands-on, fun-filled exhibit from June 20 through Aug. 2.

Insects such as the Atlas fighting beetles, lime swallowtail caterpillar, desert locust, Chinese praying mantis, stick insect, honeybee, dragonfly and mosquito will call the shopping center home. Uptown Center Court will provide a Safari Train to take youngsters on a jungle insect adventure amidst oversized flora, creepy fauna and huge boulders.

Visitors are encouraged to participate in Safari Activity Passport, which provides information about all the activities. A completed passport may be turned in for prize drawings for parties at Jungle River Mini Golf and Pearlridge merchant gift certificates.

Giant Insect Safari is Pearlridge’s 12th annual summer educational presentation. The exhibit will be open during center hours.
