This is no ordinary TV-watching experience. It is an extraordinary opportunity to see talented - very talented - individuals come together to make a musical statement. In front of the camera and behind it, everyone involved in the program grooves on that rarefied plateau known as excellence.
From the lighting and night club-style staging, to the aural experience, it sings.
But this is signature Borges. He has been singing and swinging for more than 50 years in an enduring and illustrious career. When executive producer Michael Harris contacted him about doing a jazz program for PBS Hawaii, Borges selected an all-star cast to join him. Each is also a featured soloist in the show.
