Hometown:Aiea

High school graduated from: St. Andrew’s Priory

Where do you live now? Kaneohe

Musical occupation? Singer/songwriter

How did you get into music? I’ve always loved to sing and perform on stage, since I was a little girl. Choir, musical theatre, talent shows, pageants - if there was an audience, I was there! I only started playing guitar and songwriting this last year. I really love the creative process of songwriting and am completely addicted!

What is your musical style? Organic pop

When is your album coming out? Crossing my fingers - summer 2009.

Can you talk about the sound and feel of the album? Mostly acoustic, produced in the style of Feist and Ingrid Michaelson. If my music was edible, it would taste and feel like the candy Pop Rocks.

What is it that you love about music? Music allows you to express everything that words alone could never accomplish. I love going to concerts, where at one moment every single person in the audience is focused on the energy of a great song and an amazing performer. That’s true magic!

Where are your favorite places to listen to live music? In my bedroom. My children sing a mean version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Other than that, Pearl Ultralounge has really great live acoustic music during happy hour.

What are your goals musically? To write songs that encourage others to redefine beauty through self-acceptance and living in authenticity. Real is the new beautiful. Oh, and a Grammy and a couple of No. 1 Billboard hits would be great, too.
