Sonny Lim’s ’06 Lexus GS430
Del.icio.usThe first thing that comes to mind when you lay your eyes on this GS430 is that the owner is some kind of purist. Aside from it being a high-end car, the accessories are absolute Junction Produce products. And if you’re familiar with JP, you know they don’t come cheap.
“I wasn’t much of a car guy until I moved to Hawaii,” says Sonny Lim. “Then I met up with some guys who were into the VIP scene and in the magazines. That was right around when I bought my first Lexus back in 2001, so ever since then I’ve been getting more and more into cars.”
In the short time that Lim has been into cars he has made a couple trips to Japan and brought back a lot of parts for this GS. Samson Mak from Revision Audio also has helped him with the VIP transformation, which is three-fourths complete.
“I didn’t really see too many VIP cars when I was in Japan because they mainly come out at car shows or at gatherings,” says Lim. “Most of my ideas came from magazines, and I’m waiting for the rest of the kit that comes with the car. Then I’ll have the side skirts and under-spoiler.”
Lim’s plan is to have the kit installed by August just in time for the Falken car show later that month.
