Dear Pamela,

I would like to give a “Hat’s Off” to a great magician, Greg Gabaylo! Our family was celebrating the birthdays of our grandchildren at a particular eatery that provides an evening with magic. The reservations were made with the understanding the magician was to be there that evening.

Anticipation grew with the grandchildren waiting anxiously, dinner came and went with no magician in sight. How disappointed the little ones were. We were then told that he was on a trip, then later found out he was told he wasn’t needed because it was not too busy. AUWE! Then in walks Greg Gabaylo and his family. I remembered seeing his magic at a birthday party. After seeing the disappointment and tears of my grandson, I boldly walked over to ask Greg if he could perform just one trick to “wow” a little child’s heart.

Greg touched the heart of my grandson, and actually did several tricks. He was a special angel with a special duty that night to be a blessing to four little hearts. Greg, God bless you and your family abundantly. May all your performances be filled with God’s love, just as you touched the hearts of my grandchildren.

Dear Shar,

Greg Gabaylo says something told him to go to that restaurant.

“My wife, Merilyn, my 6-year-old son Alika and I were headed to another restaurant. We were stopped at a traffic light and I said, ‘Why don’t we go to this restaurant instead?’ It was just a feeling. Then this lady comes up to me and explained everything. The kids were crying, so of course I said I would perform a few tricks. I didn’t have any equipment, so my wife gave me some rubber bands and I used the table utensils - little tricks, yeah? My family didn’t mind delaying our dinner. To see the kids’faces, that made it worth it.”

Aloha Pamela,

I would like to give some APPLAUSE and my deepest gratitude to an outstanding employee of Longs Mililani Town Center. Sometime after visiting the pharmacy, I discovered I had lost my company bank bag with $1,000 in cash and deposit receipts. I began to tremble, my head started to spin and I felt nauseous.

After frantically retracing my steps and initially being told that no one had seen my bag, the tears began to swell.

And then a miracle happened. An employee in the pharmacy informed me that someone did in fact find my bank bag and that it was turned in to the store manager. Much to my utter joy and relief I retrieved my bank bag with everything in it.

Words alone cannot express my deepest gratitude to this employee who spotted my bank bag and acted with honesty and integrity. And so, to the outstanding employee of Longs Mililani Town Center, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart for sparing me from such a significant financial loss. I will never forget this experience. May your life be blessed as you have blessed me.

Dear Geri,

The employee who found your bag was technician Brie Fukumoto. “She found it sitting on the counter and knew it must have been important,” says Longs Mililani Town Center Pharmacy manager Jared Kumasaka. “It happens all the time. People leave wallets, keys, licenses, cards, you name it. Everyone on the crew is used to finding things. If we have time, we call the people up ourselves. It’s part of helping our customers with all their needs.”
