LIVING HISTORY Tropic Lightning Museum at Schofield Barracks presents Living History Day to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 with exhibits, activities, and displays of equipment, vehicles and uniforms. Hawaii Jitterbugs and the Bluegrass Barnstormer entertain. Call 655- 0438.

STAR PARTY Hawaiian Astronomical Society brings its telescopes to Dillingham Airfield from 6 p.m. to midnight Oct. 13 for a monthly star-gazing party. The public is welcome but there’s restricted entry. Visit hawastsoc.org.

BAND FEST The Leilehua and Mililani high school bands play in the 10th annual Menehune Classic marching band festival at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Moanalua High. Tickets cost $7 and $3 at the gate. Call 447-8522.
