Castle Seminar To Focus On Palliative Care

Castle Medical Center will tackle the challenges of chronic illness at its next free seminar, set for 6 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Wellness Center auditorium as part of its “In Sickness and in Health” series.

The hospital’s palliative care team will share with the public “Chronic Illness — Planning for Medical and Personal Needs.” As the population ages, people can reach advanced stages of serious illnesses, requiring their families to make hard decisions about medical treatments.

Palliative care is a new medical specialty that focuses on quality of life and planning for patients. Light refreshments will be served, and space is limited. To pre-register, call 263-5400.
