Carole Kai To Talk ‘Heroes’ At WCBA Installation Dinner At Dot’s

Wahiawa Community and Business Association’s annual installation dinner is set for Jan. 22 at Dot’s Banquet Hall.

No-host cocktails kick off the evening at 6:30 p.m., with dinner service at 7.

Guest speaker Carole Kai will discuss “Keeping Hawaii’s Heroes in Hawaii,” a reference to a possible removal of 16,000 active-duty military and Army civilians from Schofield Barracks as part of the Army’s major force reduction.

State Rep. Marcus Oshiro will emcee the event, and City Council Chairman Ernest Martin will install WCBA’s new officers and directors. Products by local companies and vendors also will be on display.

“With the support of the local community at our annual dinner meeting and throughout the coming year, we will continue to stride forward in making Wahiawa a better place to live, work, shop and visit,” said WCBA president Doug Aton.

Tickets cost $35 and can be purchased from WCBA board members. For more information, call Libby Smithe at 621-7097.
