American Red Cross, 4155 Diamond Head Rd., July 6, 11, 16, 22, 25 and 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., $110. Get trained to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries and life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants, and learn how to use and AED. Giving Birth: The Castle Experience
Castle Medical Center, Kailua, four Sunday sessions, 2-4 p.m., $45/person. $80/couple. Specifically geared for couples giving birth at Castle Medical Center. Learn different aspects of the birth experience, from preparing for the hospital to caring for you and your baby. Suggested for those in their third trimester. Advanced registration is required.
