Nordstrom’s popular biannual Beauty Trend Show happens Saturday, Nov. 16, at 7 a.m., highlighting the latest and greatest beauty trends, tips and products for fall. There also will be giveaways and raffles.

Following the show, enjoy beauty consultations, free samples and gifts with purchase from participating beauty brands. Also, with a $125 fragrance purchase, customers will receive a separate tote bag. Tickets for the show cost $20 and are redeemable toward your beauty purchase on the day of the event. BETHANY HAMILTON SANDALS BY COBIAN

Island Sole and Cobian invite fans, shoppers and the public to meet pro surfer Bethany Hamilton at the Hawaii debut of the Bethany Hamilton limited-edition signature sandals by Cobian on Monday, Nov. 18, at Island Sole Ala Moana. Hamilton, a role model and source of inspiration to fans all around the world, will autograph posters at the store from 5 to 6 p.m. Fans also will have a chance to pre-order the Bethany Hamilton limited-edition signature sandals, which feature a comfortable braided strap, unique clear outsole with a photo of Hamilton and an inspirational quote, and Hamilton’s signature Hawaiian flower metal strap pin.

During the event, any purchase of a Cobian product, including pre-orders, will include a free DVD of Heart of a Soul Surfer: The Bethany Hamilton Story. Also, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the signature sandal will benefit Friends of Bethany, a nonprofit organization supporting shark attack survivors and traumatic amputees.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL OLYMPIANS IN WAIKIKI

Where can you see some of the world’s top beach volleyball players in their bikinis on the beach in November? At Duke Kahanamoku Beach fronting Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort for the Hilton HHonors Beach Volleyball Challenge presented by the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card Nov. 15 to 17.

Three-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings will be competing with fellow U.S. teammates U.S. Olympic silver medalist April Ross, U.S. Olympic gold medalist Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal, 2008 and 2012 U.S. Olympian. The U.S. will face off against athletes from China and Canada for round-robin play on Saturday (beginning at 8 a.m.) and championship rounds on Sunday (beginning at 10 a.m.).

Beach volleyball fans also can get up close and personal with the athletes with the Hilton HHonors VIP Spectator Package for $150. It includes a VIP luau (buffet dinner, two beverages, show and fireworks) Nov. 15, VIP tickets to the matches Nov. 16 and 17, and validated self-parking. The package also includes a meet and greet with athletes at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 15, where fans will have the opportunity to mingle and take photos with the Olympic medalists and Olympic hopefuls from Canada, the U.S. and China.
