A great honor for North Shore resident Paul Theroux, who spends much of his time traveling, gathering materials for upcoming books. He’s written dozens of travel books and novels, and will receive the 2015 Patrons Medal this June in London. Her majesty the Queen approves the annual award, which dates back to 1831. Paul joins a distinguished list of Royal Medal recipients, including Sir Edmond Hillary, Dr. Thor Heyerdahl and Capt. Jacques Cousteau
