Aiea Fair Benefits Fee Fund

Aiea High School will have its Family Fun Fair April 12 with plenty of action for everyone.

Sponsored by the Aiea High School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO), the fair will run from 4 to 9 p.m., and admission is free.

Now in its second year, the event initially began as a celebration of the school’s 50th anniversary. The large turnout and positive response from attendees inspired the PTSO to plan it for a second year.

Activities include a petting zoo, country store, pony rides, face and hair painting, games and more.

Aiea Complex schools also will perform and provide educational displays.

Money from the fair goes toward scholarships, guest speakers and other educational benefits. Additionally, funds will be distributed to students in grades 10 through 12 who apply for reimbursement for advanced-placement test fees.

“It’s a great help for some families,” explained Nancy Hsu, PTSO president and chairwoman of the fun fair.

Xtreme rides and inflatables also will be on-site. Xtreme wristbands can be purchased for $20, which grants unlimited access to the rides and two attempts at rock climbing. Individual tickets will also be available for purchase.

Scrips sold at for 50 cents can be used for games, food and other activities being offered.
