The Associated Chinese University Women presents its ‘Younger Than Springtime’ fashion show luncheon April 7 at Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and Spa.
On the runway will be fashions by Hawaii designers Mae Young Designs, Tiare Teiti and Honey Girl.
Mae Young of Makakilo has been designing clothes for the last 35 years, creating beautiful Chinese dresses, or cheong sams, with a contemporary flair. Tiare Teiti by Ida Teiti features bright, colorful Polynesian-inspired dresses with a modern flair. All dresses are made in Hawaii, and can be found at Tiare Teiti at Ward Warehouse and at various retailers throughout Hawaii.
Honey Girl by Louisa Ngum offers swimwear for women and children, including suits that are designed for surfing and other water sports.
A silent auction and boutique opens at 9 a.m. with Easter baskets, baked goods, jewelry and more.
The luncheon fashion show starts at 11:30. Ticket price is $65 and proceeds benefit ACUW’s educational scholarships and community service projects. For more information or to purchase tickets, email ACUWrsvp@gmail.com or call 839-5452.
