A Direct Connection To Vegas

By Kevin Kaneshiro
Sales and Promotions Manager, Vacation Hawaii

Vacations Hawaii has, for many years, been very proud to be a reliable direct connection to Las Vegas. Living in Hawaii and promoting Vegas definitely keeps life exciting, especially when I have the chance to represent Hawaii’s favorite casinos: The California, Fremont and Main Street Station Hotel and Casino. You can really feel the aloha spirit at the Cal, considered by many to be Hawaii’s home away from home in Vegas.

Las Vegas is by far the top destination for Hawaii residents, and Vacations Hawaii sends an average of 2,000 kama’aina a week to Vegas.

I am frequently asked why Los Vegas is so popular with kama’aina. I think the answer is threefold.

First, the excitement! The destination is so different from Hawaii, with brilliant lights, exciting shows, unlimited shopping and, of course, casino gaming.

Second, there is a large Asian influence in Hawaii, and with many Asian cultures there is an appreciation for games of chance.

And third, our round-trip inclusive casino packages, which can be booked directly online through our website, really provide an unbeatable travel deal.

Vacations Hawaii, voted Hawaii’s best travel agency, provides round-trip air service between Honolulu and Las Vegas on a wide-body 767 aircraft, with either four- or five-night hotel accommodations, three meals daily or airport transfers to and from McCarran Airport. It is actually less expensive in some cases for Hawaii residents to purchase a Vegas charter package from Vacations Hawaii than it is to fly to an outer island and spend four or five nights there.

A few of my favorite online travel sites offer discounts to many Vegas shows. At cirqueclub.com you can find offers as low as $55 to a Cirque du Soleil show. For unprecedented ticket deals and offerings, check out tix4tonight.com, goldstar.com or orleanscasino.com.
